Membership Terms & Conditions

  1. Acacia Skills Academy Ltd (‘Academy’) offers the Academy World Membership facility to organisations and individuals subject to payment of a booked training course, in return for the stated Membership Benefits. All payments must be made in Sterling currency.
  2. Membership is conditional on the Member complying with the Academy Code of Conduct at all times.
  3. Memberships will be cancelled after 12 months of the last course being attended unless cancelled in writing by the Member within 3 months of the anniversary date.
  4. All Membership applications are subject to acceptance by the Academy, and the Academy reserves the right to refuse acceptance to preserve the integrity of the Academy.
  5. Course fees are payable in advance unless a credit account has been approved by the Academy.
  6. In the event that a Membership is terminated by cancellation or by other means, any training records held by the Academy for an individual, or any data created will no longer be accessible. The Academy will have no further obligations or liabilities thereof.
  7. Memberships may be suspended or terminated in the event that payment is not made successfully, if a Member does not comply with the Academy Code of Conduct and no refund will be payable.
  8. Membership is non-transferable.
  9. Membership information may be published to third parties and other companies in the Acacia Group in accordance with the Data Protection Acts but will not be used by third parties to market or sell products and services.
  10. If you are tagged to an organisation, your membership information will be accessible by your employer.
  11. Payment for courses is required in advance by debit card/credit card or by cheque, unless credit facilities have been agreed. For cheque payments, the payment must be cleared at least 14 days prior to the course start date to avoid cancellation of the course.
  12. All courses are strictly subject to availability and may be cancelled or re-scheduled.
  13. The Academy reserves the right to change, alter or withdraw Membership Benefits at any time to enhance the value of your Membership.
  14. In the unlikely event that the Academy cancels a scheduled course, you will be entitled to transfer to another suitable course date at no charge, or receive a full refund for the cost of the course.
  15. Any Membership complaints should be directed to the Membership Complaints Team, Acacia Skills Academy, C2-Acacia House, Trentham Business Quarter, Bellringer Road, Stoke on Trent, ST4 8GB. Complaints will be acknowledged within 5 working days.
  16. Members wishing to cancel their Membership who later make a further application to become a Member will be subject to an administration fee of £25 if they wish to re-attach their training records.
  17. Any courses that the Academy has received payment for will not be eligible for a refund at any time if the candidate withdraws from the programme early.
  18. The Terms and Conditions of Membership may be changed at any time, and will be notified to Members in writing.
  19. Training course fees are exclusive of VAT at the applicable rate for organisations, and inclusive of VAT for individuals and students.
  20. Candidates are entitled to a maximum of 8 visits for Level 2 qualifications and 10 visits for Level 3 and above qualifications excluding induction. Any visits thereafter will be charged £150+VAT.
  21. All course cancellation requests and transfer requests must be made in writing to info@acaciaskillsacademy.co.uk or to Passport Course Cancellations, Acacia Skills Academy Ltd, C2 – Acacia House, Trentham Business Quarter, Bellringer Road, Trentham, Stoke-on-Trent ST4 8GB.
  22. No refunds will be given if the Customer does not attend a scheduled course. Courses cancelled or requests for transfer to another course by the Customer will be subject to the following cancellation and transfer charges: Days before the scheduled course date Cancellation charge Transfer charges 0-14 days 100% £20 per transfer 15-30 days 75% £25 per transfer 31 days or more 50% No charge
  23. The Academy accepts no liability for any actual or consequential losses as a result course bookings, except in the event of personal injury.
  24. The Academy operates a strict no smoking policy for all courses. The Academy reserves the right to exclude the customer in the event that this is not adhered to without refund.
  25. The customer warrants that they will adhere to health and safety regulations at all times during the course, and that if the course is held at the customer premises, that appropriate Public Liability insurance is in place to indemnify the Academy against any claims for personal injury or loss of life.
  26. The course format and content is the intellectual property of the Academy and must not be reproduced, copied or transmitted under any circumstances.
  27. The Membership Terms and Conditions will be governed by English Law.
